With over 25 great coworking spots across Chicagoland, Deskpass gives you options. Let’s get beyond the thumbnail and learn a bit more about one West Town spot you can book, Simple.Honest.Space.

With roughly 4,000 thoughtfully designed square feet, this Hubbard Street Lofts spot offers high-end monitors and, yes, more than one french press. An ample library, fireplace and fancy hand soap make coworking there a joy. It’s where Deskpass has made our work home, so come on by and say hello with your Deskpass membership!

For entrepreneurs and freelancers, coworking spaces are becoming more and more popular. There's a lot of option, but few are on the same level as the Simple.Honest.Work headquarters in Chicago, where desks are available to rent through Deskpass. Here's a look around the stylish office.

We talked with space manager Kris about what makes Simple.Honest.Space simply awesome.

What are some of your favorite things about the space?

I love that we have our own little coffee bar. I like to just set up shop there in the morning with my laptop and my breakfast while I’m making coffee. It’s a good space to connect with fellow coworkers before we start the day, and it’s nice for a break in the afternoon if you’ve been staring at the same project too long. It’s like the best water cooler ever.

What’s nearby when a cowoker wants to stretch her legs?

What’s nice about this space is that it’s a little tucked away, and it’s tucked away with some great hidden gems. The building itself is home to photography studios (Filter, to name just one), a hair salon (Tsubo), a printing studio (Spudnik), a floral studio (Foxglove), and a handful of art studios and galleries. It’s busy and inspiring.

As far as food goes, everyone in the office unanimously loves Big Delicious Planet, a locally-sourced, eco-friendly breakfast and lunch spot right around the corner. I didn’t know they existed until I started working here. (Bonus: they always have pie.) A little further down Grand is Upton’s Breakroom, a vegan restaurant/seitan factory. And across from Upton’s is Yoga for All Beings, which just happens to be my favorite yoga studio in all of Chicago.

If you want to venture out a little, we’re not far from Wicker Park, which is great for lunch and coffee and maybe the occasional impulse record/book/shoe purchase.

How does your space represent the West Town neighborhood?

think West Town is a neighborhood that really fosters community and creativity, and our workspace definitely reflects that. The building is full of makers and doers to the point where collaboration is almost inevitable. The creativity is contagious.

Why offer Deskpass coworkers a seat at the table?

Right now, we have a couple startups working out of the space, and they’ve been here for months. We’re all like roommates or maybe really close neighbors at this point. Deskpass is great because it brings in new people and new ideas. Coworking is a great way to meet people with different backgrounds and interests.

Fantastic food options, a flower studio, a top-rated salon and a space made for productivity. Simple.Honest.Space has it. Book a spot today and get to work.
